IFA 2025: Where AI and Innovation Redefine the Future of Tech

As IFA Berlin 2025 continues nearing an end for 9th September 2025, it does leave a trail of groundbreaking innovations that point to a future where technology is more integrated, intelligent, and personalized than ever before. This year’s event was defined by a pervasive theme: the seamless blending of artificial intelligence into every aspect of consumer technology, from smart home devices to robotics and beyond. Major brands like Samsung, Lenovo, and Dyson took center stage, showcasing a new generation of products designed to enhance daily life with a unique blend of functionality and flair.

Top Products and Innovations

Robots: From Helpers to Companions

Robotics proved to be a major showstopper at IFA 2025, with several companies unveiling robots that go beyond simple automation. The Acemate Tennis Robot stole the spotlight, acting as a high-tech practice partner and coach. It uses onboard 4K cameras and AI to analyze a player’s performance and simulate realistic match play. Not to be outdone, Eufy introduced the Eufy MarsWalker, a unique accessory that allows the company’s robot vacuum to navigate between floors using a portable ramp. Dyson also entered the fray with the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai, a combination robot vacuum and mop that uses AI to detect and clean up spills and stains. For a more unconventional twist, the NexLawn Master X Series Concept robotic lawnmower featured a mechanical arm for clearing debris or even playing fetch with your dog.

Smart Home: Smarter and More Intuitive

The smart home category showcased a clear shift towards making homes more interactive and less reliant on separate control devices. SwitchBot unveiled its new AI Hub alongside two animated “AI pets,” Niko and Noa, designed to create a more engaging smart home experience. Lepro’s AI Lighting Pro series integrated microphones directly into the power cords of its smart lights, allowing for voice control without a separate listening device. Security also got a major upgrade with the Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi, a dual-lens 4K camera with 360-degree coverage and on-device AI to help users quickly find specific events in their footage.

Computing and Displays: The Push for Portability and Flexibility

IFA 2025 saw brands experimenting with new form factors for computing and displays. Lenovo revealed two intriguing concepts: the Lenovo ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept, a laptop with a screen that can manually rotate 90 degrees into a vertical orientation, and the Lenovo Smart Motion Concept, an ergonomic laptop stand that uses motors and a camera to automatically adjust the screen to a user’s eye level. Samsung also emphasized portability with its Movingstyle TV, a 27-inch 4K touchscreen TV that can be easily carried and propped up in either portrait or landscape mode. In displays, the future looks bright with the emergence of RGB LED TVs. Multiple brands, including Sony and Hisense, showcased prototypes of this new technology, which promises higher brightness, improved contrast, and richer colors than existing OLED and Mini LED displays.

Health and Wellness: Tech for a Better You

Wearable technology and health devices took a more predictive approach at this year’s event. Withings introduced the ScanWatch 2, which uses a new HealthSense 4 OS with predictive AI to anticipate potential health changes. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Hypershell X is a lightweight, AI-powered outdoor exoskeleton that assists users while walking, weighing in at only five pounds.

Audio: A Blend of Retro and Modern

Audio innovations at IFA 2025 were a mix of modern convenience and nostalgic design. Anker’s Nebula X1combines a portable projector with a party speaker for an all-in-one home theater system. We Are Rewind introduced the GB-001, a retro-inspired boombox that plays cassettes and doubles as a high-fidelity Bluetooth speaker. Vinyl lovers got a new option with the Technics SL-40CBT, the company’s first turntable with built-in Bluetooth connectivity.

Notable Trends

The products at IFA 2025 highlighted a few key trends that will shape the consumer tech landscape in the coming year. AI everywhere was the most dominant theme, with the technology no longer a futuristic concept but a standard feature integrated into countless devices. Portability and flexibility were also a major focus, with gadgets like the Samsung Movingstyle TV and Anker’s projector-speaker designed for ultimate convenience. Finally, a continued emphasis on sustainability was evident, as brands showcased new battery technologies and circular design approaches to reduce environmental impact.
